Browse the Sidewalk Art Show in Roanoke, Virginia!

An annual tradition since 1958, the Sidewalk Art Show returns to Roanoke once again for 2017. The popular, free show is happening both Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm with over 10,000 people expected to attend and enjoy browsing original and influential works of fine art. The show provides an opportunity for artists to exhibit and sell their work, as well as for attendees to browse all types of works of art and to network with the exhibiting artists.

About the Venue

The event occurs near the Taubman Museum of art Located on Salem Avenue in Roanoke, Virginia. Founded in 1951 as an independent organization, Taubman Museum of Art came opened to the public at its current state of the art location on November 8, 2008. It contains more than 2,000 works of art from influential 19th and 20th century American artists. The museum is named after Nicholas & Eugenia Taubman in recognition of their donation of capital towards building the museum.

Exhibitor Information

A cash award will be given to the top three artists along with merit and memorial awards. If you wish to watch the Awards Ceremony, it will occur on June 3rd, 5:45 pm. The judge will be Adam Justice, Assistant Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art, Mint Museum, Charlotte, North Carolina.
