2017 Mazda6 vs 2016 Nissan Altima

2017 Mazda6 vs 2016 Altima

2017 Mazda6 vs 2016 AltimaWhen you have two cars that have an Inline-4 engine, give the same mpg rating, and have the same warranty agreement it is hard to decide which one fits you better. Both the 2017 Mazda6 and the 2016 Nissan Altima are very well made cars with the most updated designs and features.  The slick car bodies make them close competitors when it comes to what to pick based off of looks, and they both perform very well.

2017 Mazda6 vs 2016 Nissan Altima: Style

Both cars have very aesthetically appealing interiors. The consoles are fitted just right and are easy to access and maneuver through to get the most out of the systems installed. More importantly than the looks, though, is the comfort. This is where the Mazda6 takes a step ahead. Having more room, it automatically catches the attention of the drives as being more comfortable with more leg room. Taller drivers will especially find this appealing.

Mazda6 vs Altima: Efficiency

Over time you will spend about the same on gas between the two cars as they both get around the same mpg at about 25/37/29*. The cost of the car alone, however, varies between the two. You will definitely get more for your dollar if you go with the Mazda 6. Not only are the base prices cheaper, but when you add to the cost you get more features than the Nissan Altima has to offer.

2017 Mazda6 vs 2016 Altima: Performance

When it comes to power behind driving the two vehicles they both have Inline-4 engines, but the Altima is a V-6, giving it more Torque. This means that it will have more power and get-up to it. If you are looking for a car with power closer to that of a sports car, then the Altima is the way to go, but if you don’t care too much about power and can look past this comparison, like us, then you will want to go with the Mazda 6 for comfort and price.

Mazda6 vs Altima: Maneuverability

The Mazda 6 also has a smaller turning radius than the Altima for when you find yourself in tight situations. Both cars are smaller and easy to maneuver, but sometimes it’s  that small difference in turning radius that  decides whether you make the parking spot, or have to back up and try it again. The Mazda 6 will be able to make more parking spots for you, and can do those sharp U- turns we sometimes have to perform when we find ourselves headed in the wrong direction.

The Mazda 6 outdoes the Altima where it counts, and we recommend you heavily consider it as your next purchase for your new car. You can also come in to Berglund Mazda Salem to take a look at our whole selection of Mazda cars, or call us at 540-613-5924.
